Accredited Studies
Degrees awarded by partner Universities based on the European Union, or third countries, are formally recognised as professionally equivalent – and thus lead to equal professional rights- to those awarded by Greek, State Universities. This recognition applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Recognition covers both regulated professions (lawyers, engineers, nurses, psychologists) as well as freelancers (Business Administration, Marketing, Shipping, Hotel, Computer Science, etc.).
Recognition is not automatic but is done through the ATEEN (Independent Department for the Implementation of European Legislation) at the Ministry of Education.
All alumni need to submit:
- A photocopy of the degree
- A photocopy of the official transcript or diploma supplement
- The syllabus, which includes a list of the modules taught, in English, unless ATEEN requires a greek translation.
The photocopies will be certified and officially translated into Greek by the competent authority of the country of origin of the documents, ie, for British Universities the British Council, or by the Translation Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Greek legislative framework
The 38/2010 Presidential Decree enacts the alignment of national legislation to the EU Directive 36/2005 and regulates the professional recognition process of degrees awarded by European Universities, including those that are granted through collaborating, Greek Colleges.
The 4093/2012 legislative act introduces the concept of professional equivalence of degrees awarded by EU Universities to those awarded by Greek state Universities. Additional legislation clarifies the degree recognition implementation process.

Recognition by the UK NARIC
All Epsilon College graduates have their degree recognised by the UK NARIC (National Recognition and Information Centre). NARIC assesses and certifies that the UK University qualifications (undergraduate and postgraduate), obtained through studying in Greece, are academically and professionally equivalent to those awarded to students that have studied at the University in the UK.
