MODULES
Foundations of Strategic Management
This module introduces the main concepts in strategic management, including vision & mission statements, analysis of the internal & external environment, competition analysis, competitive advantage and growth alternatives. By using real examples and case studies, students will have the opportunity to explore the relationship between theory and practice in organizations and understand the implications of strategic choices.
Entrepreneurial thinking and SMEs
The module will provide students with an understanding of entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviours, by describing and analysing the stages involved in setting up and scaling an enterprise. By using comprehensive materials and examples, students will explore the approaches and tools entrepreneurs use to identify business opportunities, prototype and validate their idea and prepare a business plan. The students will also have the chance to understand the importance of SMEs as key drivers of employment and innovation.
Organizational behavior, motivation & team dynamics
The module will introduce students to the organisational behaviour theories and team dynamics on a business context. Students will engage in informed decision making and apply theoretical concepts in practice considering the contextual and subjective nature of the subject.
Communication skills
Effective communication is essential for meeting your goals and the module will help students to improve their listening, framing, writing and presentation skills, helping them to better communicate their messages and ideas. The module adopts a learner centred approach, integrating simulated experiential learning to enhance existing communication skills through practice and constructive feedback.
Change management
The module will introduce students to the concept of organisational change and help them understand its significance for organisations as a way to meet the challenges of the internal and external environment. Students will be exposed to multiple approaches, models, and analytical frameworks in order to obtain the skills and knowledge needed to lead change.
Decision making & creative thinking
The module aims to provide a critical understanding of the challenges in making effective decisions in a business environment, helping students identify the role of personal biases and psychological pitfalls. The module also examines the nature, the processes, and the prerequisites of creativity, presenting tools and alternative models that facilitate out-of-the-box thinking.
Leadership & business ethics
The module aims to familiarise students with the key theoretical approaches and models of leadership, providing a comprehensive roadmap to achieving excellence. The module takes students on a fascinating journey through case studies and business scenarios, unveiling some of the secrets of effective leadership and helping them to align business decisions with ethical values and norms.
Proper management and leadership is a matter of central concern to all managers and not only to senior leadership. Therefore, all managers, irrespective of their functional areas, are called on to solve problems that involve significant challenges on Business Management issues. Basic knowledge and better understanding of Business Management, would help them in solving such problems.

Following my long years of experience in group treasury of a multinational corporation reporting to the C level executives, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Finance & Accounting to enhance and update my knowledge and obtain a complete view of the said field in search for my next step in my career.
Most of the modules helped me in improving my knowledge in finance however, to my surprise, through my master’s studies at Epsilon College, I was introduced to a relatively new subject of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) which I had no previous experience in and that was closely related to my field of expertise and is very crucial for the viability and performance of corporations today.
