It has enriched and upgraded the high standards of the British education system in the fields of teaching and research, managing to become one of the most popular university institutions within as well as outside the UK. Where do you attribute this success? We are one of the youngest universities in the UK but we are already leading the way in adding value to society, which we call social impact. We have won multiple awards for our work in this area, among others, but what matters the most to us is ensuring that our students and graduates have the opportunity to make their mark on the world too. That\u2019s why we were the first university in the UK to be named as a Changemaker Campus in 2012.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Among the many awards University of Northampton has received and the significant rankings it has achieved, which ones do you distinguish? In 2017 The University of Northampton has been given the Gold Award in the Government\u2019s Teaching Excellence Framework \u2013 the highest rating possible which places it among the elite of the UK\u2019s higher education institutions.<br>The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) has been introduced as the only official table which recognises high-quality teaching that better meets the needs of employers, business, industry and the professions, in addition to guiding students on the best places to study.<br>The official judgement by the Government\u2019s review states: \u201cBased on the evidence available, the TEF Panel judged that the University of Northampton delivers consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students. It is of the highest quality found in the UK.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The University of Northampton&#8217;s motto, &#8220;transforming lives, inspiring change,&#8221; raises high expectations for the student, expanding their mental and professional horizons. How is the promise of your motto achieved through the educational process?<br>As part of our Changemaker commitment, we work together with a number of global academic partners to widen access to higher education and enhance the learning experience that our students receive. Our ethos includes involving students in research, scholarship and professional practice \u2013 particularly research in the community and sector-leading work focused on social enterprise.<br>We also believe it is our responsibility to rise to global challenges.\u00a0 In 2020, our Vice Chancellor Professor Nick Petford signed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Accord &#8211; the University and college sectors\u2019 collective response to the global goals with the aim of both designing a framework that is aligned to the SDGs and ensuring that it is embedded across University departments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Could you describe the profile and mindset of the Northampton University graduates? What is their impact as scientists, executives and employees on the economy, business and the society?<br>It isn\u2019t possible to describe a typical University of Northampton Graduate as each student is individual \u2013 and we want them to embrace that. They come from us from all corners of the world with different life experiences which feeds into the rich colture and community we enjoy here. The one attribute they will come away with by the end of their studies however, is the certainty they are equipped with the knowledge to drive them forward in their career.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Major, global economic and social changes are taking place at the same time, which are accelerated by the technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the pandemic, the climate change and the growing digital transformation of states and businesses. How do you see the role of the University of Northampton, as the &#8220;University of Change&#8221;, in the emerging new world?<br>The pandemic has shown that Higher Education can adapt at pace, and that in a networked world \u2013 access to knowledge is invaluable. Students today expect a more outward-looking culture, and young, fresh approaches such as those pioneered by the partnerships we forge at the University of Northampton are made to deliver on those expectations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Northampton &nbsp;and Epsilon &nbsp;College have signed in 2019 &nbsp;a strategic partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) based on the franchise model of Transnational Education.
