Dr Spiros Kapitsinas is a Special Scientific Staff of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and has more than 20 years of professional experience. He is a graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Athens, with an MSc in International Business & Finance from the University of Reading and a PhD in finance and risk management from the University of Athens.
He has extensive experience in finance having previously worked in an international bank, in the field of research and financial analysis in domestic academic institutions and as a financial advisor to the Greek State in local authorities’ matters. For a number of years, he has held a managerial position in a domestic sectoral tourism body and in projects related to the implementation of business and investment plans and in the provision of advice to both the public sector and private companies on financial and strategic issues. He currently works as an Economist at the Department of Licensing of Collective Investment Schemes at the Hellenic Capital Market Commission.
