Dr. Afroditi Anagnostopoulou is a senior researcher at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) / Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), experienced in project management and transport economics overseeing the “Economic and Social Impacts of Transport Systems” laboratory. She is also Deputy of Unit on Transport Economics and Environment, Maritime and Air Transport in the HIT. She participates in several research projects and she also teaches in the MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Epsilon College. She holds a BSc in Management Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and an MSc in Computer Science from the University College London. She has also received a PhD in Operations Research from the Department of Management Science and Technology of the AUEB.

She is a member of the Hellenic Operational Research Society, the Hellenic Institute of Transport Engineers, the Association of Greek Researchers and the Economic Chamber of Greece. Dr. Anagnostopoulou is also the Community Gateway Advisor of Transport on the Open Research Europe (ORE) platform and a member of the Gender Equality Committee (2022-2023) of CERTH, participated also in the development of the 1st Gender Equality Plan of CERTH. She is a research fellow in the Operations Research & Decision Systems Centre of the AUEB since 2012 and listed in “Who’s Who in the World” (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019). Her work has been published in international academic journals (including the first-tiered Transportation Science journal) and presented in more than 50 national and international conferences.
